DynamX Outdoor Exercise Equipment was born in Dublin in 2008 after an initial meeting with Dublin City Council whom agreed to Install 6 pieces of Outdoor Fitness equipment along the Clontarf Promenade in Dublin as a pilot scheme. It was shortly after this when there was great interest shown to the facilities that were free to the public and was also encouraging for people to get out and exercise.
Outdoor Gyms are all the rage in southern Europe with them installed on every street corner and any possible open space available even down as far as on the beaches along the Costa del Sol, we at DynamX thoroughly encourage this and although our climate is not the same as Southern Europe there is no reason why we cant have the same facilities to aid in leading a better lifestyle.
Gareth McGinn Director of DynamX has come from a family of Sport with his Grand Father Freddie Moran an ex Irish Rugby player, his Late Aunt Therese O’Reilly an ex Irish International Lady Golfer and his Sister Sonya McGinn the first female Irish Badminton player to represent Ireland at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000. Sonya is now Managing Director of SV Fitness Gym in the IFSC and has had a great input into the choice of pieces in our ST & LK Series ranges of Outdoor Exercise Equipment.
Colin O’Callaghan our Technical Director has years experience on the civil aspect of the company and is our expert on all installation methods available. Colin has vast experience in this area where he project managed large contracts and it goes without saying nothing goes un-noticed resulting in a professional finish each time.
Many people ask us how we got our name? Well after much deliberation we were trying to come up with a single word that would represent the meaning of Exercise, Movement, Fitness we came up with DynamX. The “Dynam” part resembles movement from Dynamic and the X is for eXercise, Hence DynamX.
In 2012 DynamX were awarded the largest contract in Ireland for the supply and installation of Outdoor Exercise Equipment on behalf of South Dublin County Council, Parks Department.
